My batch 4 AMD just arrived (UK)! I only got my tracking number 2 days ago, thought I had plenty time for my additional bits to arrive (RAM, SSD etc.) but FedEx work a lot faster than I gave them credit for (even their own estimate said Monday!). Now I’m sat here with a laptop I can’t power up because my SSD won’t arrive til tomorrow. 🤦‍♂️

Guess I’ll go and sit by the front door and peer through the letterbox a little longer

You could technically run an Ubuntu or Fedora from a flash drive until then. Obviously kind of jank but if you're impatient (like me) to turn the laptop on its an option.

It really amazed me how quickly my batch 2 arrived. I had to make an "emergency run" to my local MicroCenter (I'm fortunate enough to have one about 10 miles from my house... and maybe unfortunate for my bank balance...) for an SSD. Thankfully they had exactly what I wanted in stock and I was ready to go to the races LOL

Time to take trip to the local Best Rent, and another in a week to return things when your reasonably priced hardware arrives.

Framework's shipping is remarkably fast. I think a good window is ordering any additional components between the initial "Preparing your batch" notification and your payment method being charged. You don't want to order too early as many retailers' return windows is within 30 days in case there are problems.
