Considering buying a roofing business. Currently making 1-2MM in revenue annually, healthy bottom line (20%+). Current owner is fairly young but burnt out by industry and not having the interest and experience to grow beyond current. Solid projects in place for next 1.5-2 years. Very little marketing has been done. Manager is in place.

I have owned and managed businesses, but never in this industry.

Anyone with experience doing something similar, or general thoughts?

Those guys make ungodly amounts of money in my area. New cars, RVs, etc etc every year. I see it up Close and it makes me question my white color, six figure a year job.

Was in corporate M&A - now I own a painting and flooring company (75 employees).. Question, how much is he charging for that roofing company?
