Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.
That's it.
Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Here I go on my soapbox. Landfilling stuff is so bad because you can’t use that highly plastic polluted soil, please consider composting or getting community/company compost to pick it up
Some cities / municipalities also do "thermal treatment" aka mainly burning/incarcerating the normal non-recyclable household waste. Depends on where you live.
But I have to agree. Compostable stuff should get composted. Not end in a landfill mixed together with lots of problematic materials.
Yeah, put that trash in prison!
lol. thanks for pointing that out... minor differences... I'm not going to edit it, I got most of the characters in the word right.
Edit: Although... If someone works in law enforcement, please do pay attention to those subtle differences while dealing with prisoners.
Shavings are usually rinsed down the grey/black water drain, and like other solids filtered out at the sewage processing plant and sent to the landfill,
Hair clippings at the salon or barber are generally too short for wigs; and are usually just tossed unless the person is specifically asking to donate (either by going to a stylist that is doing that, or specifically requests a to-go bag….)
In my area, trash is screened and ladfilled. Some hair goes with that, but most enters the solids stream where it is treated then the treated residuals are applied to farms as a soil enhancer/fertilizer. Pretty cool that they don't just send it to landfill imo
I'm confused by the question. Do you think trash gets separated or something?
No stupid questions is the name of the community.
I'm not calling it stupid. Just curious.
Sorry, I wasn't sure whether I wanted to focus on shaved/trimmed hair vs. cut hair when asking, but shaved's more of what I was wondering about, as I think that's often washed/flushed away?
I also thought it was a fun mundane question about something one otherwise may not think much about.
Are you talking about at barber shops?
