Cleveland finally fill that 3 role they have been deeply missing with Caris and Okoro never making the jump. They also unclog the paint and allow JA to play a classic 5, while providing a luxury scoring option that unleashes DG's playmaking. One of Okoro and Caris gets traded for a decent PF like Toppin.

Clippers don't have to deal with 4 'systems' anymore and also get an extremely valuable young piece they can slot in at C for easy P&R with Harden or Russ. Zubac can come off the bench or be traded for young wings while leaving Plumlee as a backup C.

The trade has upside and downside for both teams (Clips lose one of their most beloved players, Cavs lose a young perennial DPOY candidate), but who would eventually come out on top?

Not a chance in hell lol PG was 3rd in MVP voting a few years back and Mobley hasn’t even been an all star

Lol he was 3rd in mvp a long time ago and that was a fluke year

2019 -> 2023 is a “few years” to me, it’s only 4 years lol

a few years back? Wasn't that five seasons ago lol

Harden was averaging 36, Andre Drummond was playing enough to average 15 rebounds and people were arguing Luka vs Trae Young. That was an eternity ago in NBA years.

4, which falls under “a few” for me. One = 1, two = 2 or a couple, 3 or 4 = a few and anything beyond is a different timeline lol

And was 1st team all NBA defense and 3rd in voting for DPOY I think? Like it's insane, Cavs would have to be mentally ill to want an aging PG for a young potential defensive superstar.

Yea that’d be an insane pivot to what’s looking like a failed attempt at contending just in time for their new arena

Time for bed bro

The Clippers say no because PG is way better and Mobley is a weird fit.

The Cavs say no because Mobley is way younger and under team control

As much as I love PG the Cavs would need a new gm if they make this move

As a huge PG fan, no team is trading a high potential young prospect who was a DPOY candidate in year 2 for a non superstar wing in their mid 30s
