I honestly believe that other than actually winning the Super Bowl, there's no better time for an NFL fanbase than the first years of a team having a young QB that looks like they might be "the guy" of the future

I'd argue it's even better than being a perennial playoff powerhouse or a team that continually is seen as a favorite

Less stress. If you're a true contender with an experienced QB, every loss kills you. If you lose with a young QB doing something idiotic but they put up 300 yards and 3 TDs, you still leave the game optimistic. I call this the Josh Allen. I definitely feel like the Bills fanbase were happier two years ago when Allen was breaking out compared to now when he's seen as a star QB who should be leading the Bills to the Super Bowl.

I only know one of those things

lol from first hand experience. Firing a shitty coach seems to unite a fanbase real quick.

Having a coach who is maximizing such a quarterback

Getting an almost lock HOF vet QB thinking that will be the missing piece on your embarrassingly terrible team. Then the season begins.

The law of averages was bound to fail you with Wilson. It worked too well with Manning

Watching your team draft well and getting the right support in the right places via free agency to compliment said rookie

I'm waaay happier now with the Colts than I was a year ago, so yeah I would say there's some validity to that statement. There is HOPE for the first time in a while. However, nothing can compare to winning a Super Bowl (even a bad game in the rain, vs Rex Grossman). Feels so good.

Having a defense with a nickname :(

Watching Baker Mayfield takes the Cleveland Browns from a winless team to an 11-5 wild card winner playoff team and getting the first playoff road win for the Browns since 1969 made me feel like we won the goddamn superbowl

That's definitely hard to beat.

Ending our drought was a wild but short lived high. Despite being great 2 years ago and through the first half of last year, that's still the peak for us since the 90's.

Watching your rival be involved in a cheating scandal. Ask ohio state fans how they're feeling

2021 with Burrow was pure bliss. Every win was just icing on an unexpected cake. But since that Super Bowl loss against the Rams, every game has cause me more anxiety than any game prior to 2021.

I’m pretty happy

When i see drafts or trades that improve O line or secondary. Those positions make all the other positions quietly better. O line gives everyone else time and/or gaps. Secondary takes away big plays making run stop and QB pressure easier

When everyone tells you you’re not as good as you think you are but you just keep winning anyway.

Packers fans are only happy with making the playoffs. These are the same kind of people who will report you for cheering too loud at Lambeau.

Not having Dan Snyder as the owner anymore is pretty fucking great!

As a Bears fan, I wouldn’t know anything s out young successful QBs.
