KOC is not a “serious” analyst. That’s not an insult. It’s just clear that he either plants his flag and won’t move, or else everything is super “prisoner of the moment” if he doesn’t already have an established take. He’s a piece in the basketball take-o-sphere, which is fine, but I don’t think he’d ever admit that.

This is so reactive to the first couple weeks of the season lol. If we’re ranking players, shouldn’t we prioritize how they play in games that matter the most (I.e. the playoffs)? That’s where you find out who the true best players are.

In these last playoffs, we literally witnessed Embiid choke (yet again) and get outplayed by Tatum when it mattered.

We also witnessed Butler outplay Tatum AND Giannis in the playoffs. And not like it was the first time he crushed it in the playoffs either. He’s done this a handful of times in the past several years. How is he only tier 5? I get it that he doesn’t do it as consistently during the regular season as those other guys, but when it matters he’s at least as good as those guys.

Crazy we see this happen over and over again. People apparently value regular season stats over winning games with actual stakes on the line.

LeBron belongs in Tier 3, he’s still clearly at that level, when healthy. The fact that he just hasn’t gotten the benefit of the doubt since the Solomon Hill injury is beyond me.
