So my Apple 3.5mm EarPods, that I used on my windows pc with an 3.5mm->USB-A Soundcard Adapter, just died and I need a replacement. Since they are now avail with USB-C, I was wondering if I could use the USB-C EarPods with an USB-C->USB-A Adapter with my windows pc. I saw some yt videos where ppl did just that and I was wondering, do the new EarPods have a build in soundcard? And will this work?

I've done this on my windows 11 machine and it works fine, just get a USB-C female to USB-A adaptor from amazon or something, works fine.
