Home automation is the residential extension of building automation.

It is automation of the home, housework or household activity.

Home automation may include centralized control of lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), appliances, security locks of gates and doors and other systems, to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security.

Warning: Working with electricity can result in injury, property damage, or even death if it is not done properly. Please keep this in mind while assisting others. If you are not sure about what you are doing, hire a licensed professional.

My 40 year old best friend sadly just passed away leaving a wife and kids to work out how to change the automated heating schedule coming into winter.

She wants to have the heating on in the day but lower at night time. Her mobile app only seems to allow for changing a single set point.

Do you think between us we can work out how to help her suss this out?

I believe it is KNX from a statement he previously made “ a Freedompro Connect bridge which is a higher level application device that bridges to the KNX network and exposes all of the KNX devices to various smart home technologies - in my case I use Apple Home”

Many thanks everyone!

No we can't as there is 0 info about the system provided and what is actually controlling the HVAC. She needs to contact the integrator who put this system in and ask them. Or else she's not capable using the Apple Home app properly in which case (again) she needs to reach out the integrator.
