Lineageos ftw. I got my phone a couple of years ago and it came with either 11 or 12. I can't fully remember right now, but I've got it up as far as 15 so far using lineage OS.

If they had updated you too would be waiting for the fix to arrive since android 16 update caused this bug in the 1st place.
