I remember when smartphones first started getting big, as a gamer, I was excited to have yet another platform on which to play.

Obviously, it's infected a lot of console/PC gaming too, but there are a decent amount of games there where you can pay once and get a complete gaming experience. Mobile is just a hellscape.
I love the world of FF7 so much, and I gave the new mobile game a try (Ever Crisis), and it just pissed me off so much. It's just not fun at all.
I think loot boxes and stuff were throughly dug in by that point. Still a great episode.
