Back in 2020, during the bubble playoffs the Jazz took a 3-1 series lead over the Denver Nuggets before they ultimately collapsed and lost the series. The Jazz would follow that season with another come from behind series loss to the Clippers the next season and then eventually blowing it up. The Nuggets went to the western conference finals and a couple years later captured an NBA championship with Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic being seen as NBA Stars.

The Jazz losing to the Nuggets was really the beginning of the end for that core of players I.E. Mitchell, Gobert, Conley, etc. while the Nuggets winning the series is part of what propelled them to eventually win a championship. If the Jazz had won how would the NBA be different? Would Jokic still win his MVPs? Would Donovan Mitchell be more respected as an elite guard in the league?

The real question is would the Nuggets hang on to the core and specially to Jamal if the team had only won one series.
