Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

An i just clueless, or does that title not make any sense?

[–] chronicledmonocle@lemmy.world 5 points 18 hours ago

No you're dead on.

[–] reddig33@lemmy.world 22 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

I will never understand people who look at Susan Collins and Ted Cruz and say, “That’s who I want to vote for!”

[–] sin_free_for_00_days@sopuli.xyz 4 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

I think they have learned their lesson.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 3 points 21 hours ago

I see what you did there.

[–] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 26 points 1 day ago (1 children)

God I would be so happy if this piece of shit lost her primary.

[–] mercano@lemmy.world 10 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

I’m more concerned about the general. She’s a wannabe centrist Republican, so if she looses the primary, it’d probably be to a MAGA hardliner. At least they’d be honest with where stand, but I don’t like those positions.

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works -2 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Your comment doesn't really make sense to me. Why would she lose the primary to a MAGA hardliner? Why would there be MAGA in a dem primary?

Oh... Yup. I thought she was another Fetterman type DINO.

[–] mercano@lemmy.world 1 points 19 hours ago

No, she pretends to be a RINO, but toes the Republican line whenever it actually matters.

Susan Collins' chances of being reelected in Maine are improving, according to latest polling.

[–] GuyFawkes@midwest.social 8 points 21 hours ago

That cunt needs to go.

[–] MushuChupacabra@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

What a bitch.

[–] harrys_balzac@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 21 hours ago

Whoever they have doing her makeup needs a raise. She actually looks alive.

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 10 points 23 hours ago

I'm sure she'll learn her lesson.

[–] Nightwingdragon@lemmy.world 4 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

I'm not exactly going to shed any bitter tears for Susan Collins, but if she is ultimately replaced by another Republican, they're almost guaranteed to be exponentially worse. Depending on your point of view and whether Dems are able to take the seat, it has the potential of becoming a case of "Be careful what you wish for, you might get it." if her seat is taken by a MAGA suckup.

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 3 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Yeah, but they would be more likely to be voted out next go around.

[–] Nightwingdragon@lemmy.world -1 points 21 hours ago

The problem is that every time they get voted out, they get replaced by an even bigger MAGA suckup.

Christ, this insanity has gone on so long, I remember the first time Maine fucked up giving her the boot.
