Hey,

I am currently working on a project for my portfolio. I am brand new to machine learning, meaning that I had nothing to do with it before.

For my project I wanted to build a simple recommendation system with a gpt4 prompt. I wanted to give 3 book titles as input and get 10 book recommendations based on that. But since I don't have a credit card there is no way to use the api.

I just started learning by going through a book called "Artificial Intelligence Programming with Python" but I really want to finish this project and apply for jobs as soon as possible and this recommendation system is the last thing left to do.

My question is, as a beginner, how do I continue from here? Are there alternatives to gpt4 or can I use something in hugging face to build something similiar to gpt? If there are steps that help me create what I'm looking for I'm motivated to give it a try but if there is an easier alternative, I would prefer that to be honest.
