What. A. Stat.

Wow.

[–] jeff8073x@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Herbert nickname is now Thanos

[–] MoseFeels@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Saying your offense is as good as if it was playing the chargers every week is a huge compliment for herbert

[–] KororSurvivor@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The first two stats ignore playoffs. The third does not. But still, this is an amazing coincidence.

I went back to fact check on Pro Football Reference and can confirm you're right.

[–] kaywiz@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The Dalton line is to quarterbacks as the Charger line is to franchises.

[–] DiligentQuiet@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Generic NFL practice squad.

I bet that chargers team doc looks a bit purple and must’ve snapped his fingers

[–] Nicuzn@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Every morning when he wakes up Herbert tells his wife, "Hello."

This is called Chargers parity

[–] thrash56@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Time for one of my favorite clips from Fox NFL Sunday way back in 2013: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4BcNaaz0ZI, and the Dallas Cowboys when they reached a 133-133 record since 1997.

I want to go to work and get food.

[–] Trollhouse_Cookies@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The chargers are the definition of a trash team. Perennial choke artists. Doodoo

[–] nonstop158@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Ladies and gentleman, your Los Angeles .500s

[–] MedicInDisquise@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Now this here is a QB that actually regressed to the mean /s

[–] bionicjoe@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Been saying it for weeks:

Belichick will coach the LA Chargers next season.

He gets a ready-to-go offense, and only has play decent defense. Plus remove the Staley Plays (aka shooting yourself in the foot). Easy 10 wins for 2-3 seasons will surpass Shula overall and regular season record.

[–] plisken244@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Damn we really do live in a matrix

[–] lama579@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Fire Staley and hire Fisher. It’s time.

[–] hreiedv@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

We all thought the Chargers were a chaos team, when in reality they are the most balanced team.

[–] eaunoway@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He's going to end up with Mike Tomlin somehow, isn't he?

[–] SR1702@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The White Sox of football

[–] BodegaDaddy@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

this is like that atlanta hawks stat last season where they were perfect .500 lol

[–] Tunatron_Prime@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Herbert sucks on defense. Prove me wrong.

[–] drewing12@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

r/unexpectedthanos

[–] Malpraxiss@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This is also very interesting because of the probability of being this mediocre is just something else.

This is something to be proud of

[–] Extra_Napkins@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Dread it. Run from it. Averageness arrives all the same. Or should I say, the Chargers have.

I will shred down this team to its last atom, and with the players you have collected for me, create a new mediocre one. Not knowing what it has lost but what it has been given. A grateful franchise.

The definition of mid

[–] powd3rusmc@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Perfectly balanced. Thanos intensifies

[–] mcknightrider@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Thanos loves the chargers

[–] squatter_@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (3 children)

One thing I’m grateful for is that Chargers games are almost always competitive. At the end of the day, the games are entertaining to watch and isn’t that why we are fans?

I feel bad for Herbert, because I can feel people getting antsy and looking at him more critically. Like why he isnt elevating this team above mediocrity. But that defense is terrible, and basically has been since he's been there. Their best defensive ranking in points allowed is 21st, which not coincidentally was last year when they won 10 games.

[–] McCabbe@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The 3.6ers. Not bad, not terrible.

[–] imped4now@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Impressively balanced.

[–] Smellfuzz@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That's some deal with the devil type shit.

[–] Bill3ffinMurray@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Perfectly balanced - as all things should be.

25 PPG is pretty good

[–] groundzeros67@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Thanos is a charger
