Fck me 12 games in a 10 points deduction and they'd only be 2nd bottom....they can definitely recover from that they'd only be 5 points off 17th...

When Man City

[–] twist_n_shout@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

They’ll still stay up

[–] slinkymello@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Wait, haha… incredible, but nothing for Chelsea and Man City?? This is total insanity

[–] davide3991@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Honestly better to get the deduction now than later in the season. Imagine being safe from relegation then receiving 10 points deduction and immediately going into danger zone with not many games left.

Here we go 🍿the Reddit lawyers/judges/juries and executioners as well as geopolitical experts will be out imminently.

City cant relate

[–] 10-10-2022@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Undeniable proof the Premier League is corrupted when other teams who we know who they are get away with numerous FFP breaches and made up shell companies 'sponsored' business get away with it.

Prehaps a super league of the corrupted teams isn't a bad thing at least those who are left can play in a fairer league afterwards.

[–] TonyKilledChico@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

They'll still survive with how bad the original bottom 3 are. Still Bullshit with City and Chelsea doing what they do.

[–] youngkenya@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

We deserve it for how awful we’ve been run recently but the team is playing great right now so I don’t feel that bad. If we play even close to the level we’ve been showing recently we should still be pretty comfortably safe

Survive this year and we can finally put all of this awful Moshiri era nonsense behind us and hopefully we’ve learned a lot from it

Tied for last in prem with same GD as united

[–] Silantro-89@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

If ever there was a season to get a points deduction this is the one.

[–] montiel_scores@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Nah screw this

[–] mitchyjuice@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Absolutely crying laughing about an article being about Everton and then looking at the comments being about City. I thought nobody cared about them? Amazing how rent free they live in your heads.

[–] flyingalbatross1@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Everton made a loss, which was their problem.

We all know Man City are innocent, they haven't made a loss.

The fact they got paid eleventy billion for Saudi to be their official discarded crisp packet partner is just good business.

[–] HelioFilter@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I don’t understand why Everton can’t buy a few players when Chelsea spends 8 figures on any soccer player with two legs

[–] HamCheeseSarnie@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Man City - 115 charges. 115 X 10 points = a lot of points.

[–] ParanoidHumanoid1@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Why isn’t Manchester City held to the same standards as a struggling club that’s already financially in the shitter? At least deduct points consistently for these offenses instead of brazenly ignoring the richest club in the world

[–] securinight@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

A non-punishment when the promoted teams are so bad. Everton will still stay up. This just sends the message that teams can do what they want and get away with it.

If they were actually serious, then this would have happened last season. Everton being relegated as a result of breaking the rules would have sent a much clearer message to every other club.

[–] thatguyad@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

How the fuck are they getting done before City or Chelsea?

Oh yeah, corruption.

[–] Chris_Singadia99@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Any other season and I'd be absolutely certain that this points deduction would send Everton down but this season's promoted teams are some of the worst in recent memories and it's going to take an absolute miracle for anybody other than them to make the drop.

[–] rockeypokey@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Sean Dyche voice gets deeper

[–] fru1tmerchant@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Should have deducted the points last season.

[–] mr_nice_cack@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Great, do City next

[–] NamoAwesome@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

[–] MrBismarck@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

This might be the season where there are three teams worse than Everten.

[–] simpodemayo@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

1150 pt deduction when?

[–] awgnnerd@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Can someone highlight why Chelsea is being grouped in with City? City have 115 charges pending. Whereas for Chelsea it's more so about the source of money Roman used rather than cooked books right?

Also, Chelsea have faced consequences in the past, the transfer ban and then being sanctioned (fans couldn't buy tickets, couldn't collect revenue from games) and sold off to the highest bidder as a pawn to again political points. Chelsea wouldn't be lower to mid table these last two seasons if it weren't for the sanctions cause Putin started a war.

Or is it just because we all hate the Chelsea?

[–] Space-Debris@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

115 charges - silence
1 charge - docked 10 points

[–] TheHouseOfStones@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Completely disproportionate

[–] Louis22J@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

People to thinking city and Chelsea are getting away with it. I don't think so. This is setting a precedent. City are fucked.

[–] SocialistSloth1@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Ignoring the flagrant unfairness of Everton receiving this punishment whilst Man City and Chelsea laugh in the background, they'll probably be fine anyway. They should still survive given how poor Luton, Burnley, and Sheffield Utd look, and then they've essentially gotten off scot free.

[–] FL8_JT26@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Best season for them to get it, even the Everton of the last 2 years would likely survive a 10 point deduction with Luton, Sheff United and Burnley in the league.

[–] Quixote0630@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Send City to the fucking National League. If the FA thinks that Everton are what is wrong with modern football then there's something seriously up

[–] Chilljin@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Hahahahhahahahahha

Time to ramp up the brexitball tactics

[–] dzzik@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I’m a bit ootl, what did they do exactly that warrants a deduction (that others apparently haven’t)?

[–] cometflight@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Tbh this might be the best year for Everton to incur this penalty

[–] nh5316@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I look forward to seeing my beloved City on Welcome to Wrexham once we've work our way back up to League 2

[–] plsmemberthisone@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

So..errr..city?

[–] youlinter@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Meanwhile the club with over 100 breaches of PL rules couldn’t give two fucks about it 🤔

[–] Difficult_Boat4355@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Holy! The EPL is a joke

[–] angryratman@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Between this and VAR, football is losing (lost?) credibility.

Breaking News - Man City to be awarded 10 points

[–] tommy5608@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Now do city next

[–] Sr_Starbucks@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

[–] rob3rtisgod@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

This is actually mad. City has 115 charges, Everton has 1. Yeah they broke spending rules, but fuck me, this is awful. Chelsea did similar with transfers but got a 2 window ban?

I actually feel bad for Everton, so many top sides, City, Chelsea, Barca maybe even RM have all had dodgy finances or in Barca's case, even evidence to suggest paying refs, yet 0 sanctions except a fine that's a drop in the bucket. One rule for them, another for everyone else I guess.

[–] Defiant_Ad1199@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Zero troll whatsoever, but I'm glad the PL is docking points. Now with that said, I think Everton fucked up far less than most and it was trying to work with the EPL on the investigation.

City and Chelsea are going to need a new hole torn if this is as rough as it's been on Everton.
