They sell (or used to sell them) as souvenirs in Switzerland. I was there recently and went to several vintage watch shops and saw these. They’re usually unremarkable watches with a gram of gold stuck to them. It’s possible that it’s a perfectly decent quality watch and if you like it wear it.
Time is money I guess.

Put their money into Kingate Global/Euro, which in its own terms was a feeder fund for Bernie Madoffs securities firm and went bust when Madoff did, and (I think) is still in liquidation till today.
Just slap a bit of gold on it and voila it's a luxury watch! 😆

Now that’s just lazy! Couldn’t even take the time to melt down the gold to use for gold plating.
A lot of these watches where given out on promotion to employees. I’ve seen the same with the cigar product brand colibri. They made a square watch with a gold bar fitted to the dial in the same manor. Watches with the same concept have been posted on the page before.
