Bill Simmons knew. He has actually hit quite a lot of his preseason takes so far (Harden, T-Wolves and Ant, Celtics being insanely good, Milwaukee bad defense with Dame).

How many 3s would a lineup of Curry/THJ/Joe/Luka/Lauri & B.Hield as a 6th man make in a game?

Steph is so fucking insane, man. Still an outlier on every shooting chart
In a lot of graphs, up and to the right is best. However based on this data, Isaiah Joe is performing more “better” than Steph.

Lillard seems surprisingly low, no?
This graph shows 3 point makes per 36 minutes and attempts per 36 minutes for players who are in the top 15% of 3 point field goal attempts per 36 and the top 25% of 3 point field goal makes overall.
Some notes:
- Steph Curry is still on another planet from everybody else
- Isaiah Joe and Sam Hauser are the best 3 point specialists in the league so far
- Luka and Laurie are shooting a lot, and well
- Tim Hardaway Jr, Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic have shot a lot of volume without a lot of success so far this season
- the Nets should probably find a way to get Lonnie Walker more shots if he's going to be this efficient
- Last season Dame was about where Luka is on this graph, wonder if he'll pick up the 3 point volume or stay at a lower clip this year

My fking brain just reads Iso Joe every time, them it corrects itself because of the length.
Yeah, Lillard can't possible continue to be this bad, hence the Bucks will bounce back and be a serious threat for the chip.
I love the man as well. It just pains me the sixers never gave him a real shot. He flashed plenty in preseason and blowouts for us, but we still just let him go.

Surprise Luka is not up there with Curry.
Luka isn’t close to curry or any of the great shooters. Career 34 percent from 3.

The "Per 36" is kinda distorting the value of this for me. Itll make role players look better and stars look a bit worse.
Well you want to make an apples to apples comparison across players. You can filter out the roles guys with <15 mins per game. The bigger issue for me is that it isn’t pace adjusted. Per minute stats are heavily overused

This graph should have % in brackets so people don't get confused like OP and think 40% on 12 attempts is not good

If finance, we would say Joe is in the efficient frontier.
Per 36 can be very mis-leading.. Lauri is averaging 9.2a on 42% Hardaway is averaging 9.3a on 40% It makes role players look so much better than they are.

Man Keegan Murray really hurting my fantasy team this year. He was shooting 3s at a pretty good clip last year, I wonder what happened
