I was given this watch by a colleague but it seems off. There is authentication paper work, and it is marked as 18 carat.

That's a poor fake of a watch that would cost over $100k. Do you have a colleague that gives you $100k gifts?

It’s a saTURD

Yeah, fake, sorry

The only day-dates with a smooth bezel would be platinum. An 18 karat stamp would be referring to gold as platinum’s quality is always ppt. It’s a fake.

Are you working in the kind of place where people give out $130,000 watches to each other?

Why people don't think about this aspect is beyond me.

The other explanation is these are just BS cover stories to test the waters and see how good their fake is.

I really wish mods would crack down on these. I have no problem with “I’ve tried for hours and I can’t figure out what this old vintage Hamilton is” but the ones that have clearly made zero effort or even tried critical thinking are obnoxious.

A-fuckin’-men. Or if they just provided any background information of any fucking kind!

It’s definitely a fake, but the bigger question is what kind of job do you do where someone would gift you a platinum Rolex DD?
