I own an invicta pro diver and had it just laying in my shelf for the past couple years and decided to pick it up again. It was running very slow (like 23secs a day). I took it to a watchmaker who sped it up and today it gained 30 seconds??? It has a seiko nh35a movement so technically its within the range of the accuracy but the watchmaker told me it would gain only a couple seconds a day and all the other reviews ive seen of this watch say it is way more accurate than mine is. Do i need to get it serviced? Should i take it to another watch maker? Any advice appreciated

Find a more competent person to service and adjust your watch. You'll never get quartz accuracy, but that's hardly the point of buying a mechanical watch. And in any event, -10/+10 is very achievable for that movement.

Im not expecting quartz, i just want it around a manageable level like 10secs or less if possible
