As a companion to the "who is a player you don't get the hype for" thread, here is something more positive. Who is a player you feel is either disrespected, misunderstood, underrated, or straight-up maligned to an unfair degree?

My pick is THJ. Every single time I watch this dude play (usually against the Lakers) he looks like Prime TMac. He just gets to his spots, elevates, and knocks everything down with such a pure stroke. He seems unstoppable at times. And yet, I know Mavs fans constantly are disappointed with his inconsistent play, so maybe I am missing something with my few-and-far-in-between impressions.

It’s gotta be Mavericks fans hating on Dwight Powell. He’s a great guy who does a lot to give back to the community and gives his all out on the floor. It’s not his fault he was the best option we had to start at the 5 for so long.

THJ has looked ass for a while now, but has had a good start to the season. Could be a turn around, could just be a short term patch of good form. I don’t know why you don’t get why he was being criticised.
