Yes he pissed off and annoyed a lot of animals deliberately, but is remembered as a childhood saint (like Mr. Rogers or someone more deserving) because he died tragically

What? He isn’t remembered as a good guy because of how he died. Maybe you didn’t watch him when he was on, but it’s because you could tell that he actually cared. He was passionate about his work and informative in a fun way. Sure he kinda fucked with a few animals, but he would never go as far as hurting them. He was loved way before his death.

Kind of. When his show started he would just go around in his khaki shirt and shorts and he would get wounded animals to help them sometimes. Sometimes he would just see a gator and start grabbing its tail and getting way too close. I don’t know how he never got bitten.
