I wish him play less mins and save it for the playoff

You bout to jinx him with that last line. Just messin. But is there any other player in the league 35 with no wife and kids? Crazy this man’s dedicated his whole life to the game

[–] EddyTreeNJ@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

When healthy he is elite. I just don’t know if he can stay healthy a whole year.

His grape varietal only wins titles when paired with a dish containing Curry.

[–] JudgmentBig787@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

& he can do this 4or 5 more years at a high level if he stay healthy

when was the last time anyone played him physically? the worst bumps i can see him have is whenever he does a poor block attempt.

[–] IntraspaceAlien@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Happens all the time, some teams are crazy physical with him off-ball. The bulls game recently was a good example.

i need to watch more and full games then. i just check out highlights nowadays. i just can’t remember guarding anyone right now like bruce bowen or players similar to him. that usually tires out the veterans real quick.

Until he gets injured

[–] goblue335@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Kd should be top 10 wish he didn’t do that bs and join gs

He could easily have been the best basketball player talent wise in the last 8-9 years. Sadly tons of hiccups and injuries.

To be fair, he has missed the vast majority of the past 4 seasons. He's well rested.

He needs to make 37/37 of the following free throws to make his FT% 90.

unfortunately these kind of stat line seasons at old ages have lost their juice IMO. combination of better medical treatment and easier game to score.

like imagine if Tracy Mcgrady had this stat line even at age 33, last season with the hawks. it would be incredible to watch and take over the whole league. hell even kobe’s last great 2013 season was amazing to watch until it ended.

but thats the problem, we take it for granted now because we CAN take it for granted. it will probably happen again next year and its really not that special.

happy for KD, but the league has lost major juice with these old guys hanging on… who will be the next young american player under 30 to win mvp or lead his team to a title?

[–] vb90@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It's the benefit of his game and the fact that he weighs absolutely nothing.

Extra weight destroys knees at that age. KD has the perfect game to still drop 30 with a grey beard.

[–] peenpapi210@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It’s just a matter if he stays healthy. He does this every year….

Players 35+ still playing like they’re in their prime is going to be more and more common due to always advancing sports science and nutrition. Bron, kd, and Steph are all at that age where, in the past, they’d be passed their prime but they’re still top players in the league. Kawhi is 32, Paul George is 33, Jimmy and demar are 34. All aren’t showing any signs of slowing down as they enter their late 30s.

What LeBron did to the nba is what Brady did to the NFL. They were so good in their later years that it became the new normal and now no one is surprised at athletes being great in their later years. Like bro, Steph is also 35 and playing really good. Bron totally shattered the mold skip bayless voice

He is really one of the all time greats.
