As someone who watched Harden hit so many 4pt plays against other teams as a Rocket. That was bitter sweet. Still a huge fan of him and not mad he hit the game winner. Knew it was going in after it left his hands. :(

Somewhat mixed feelings but I'll defend harden until I die, so I can live with a vintage game winner after a hard fought battle (ignoring the reffing).

Clipper 30 vs Rocket 20 FTA is bad but the biggest culprit being that neither VanFleet nor Smith Jr. had a single FTA attempt in the game despite VanFleet taking 16 FGA. Absolutely wild.

Multiple Rockets entered the 3rd with 4 or close to 4 personal fouls. The Zebras were out in full force today. Hope the fucks got their over.

On the flip side. Lots of dumb turn overs by the Rs that the Clipper veterans capitalized on. However, if I am Clippers fan I'd be absolutely terrified that the only way you win is with a whistle. As a resident former Harden team fan, that whistle gets swallowed in the playoffs and you'll get bounced in the first round.

I will say, while reffing in the 4th was particularly egregious, the reffing in the third was also quite bad on both sides. game couldn't go on for two seconds without them calling a foul. It was just quite dumb.

Also, to young Rockets fans who don't remember what it's like to have a defender like Dillon Brooks on your team, this is gonna happen a lot. He can play his game, until they don't allow him to. This is true of a lot of players. it sucks, but people hate him so most of the time people won't notice. It's dumb that defense isn't called consistently.

To young Clipper fans, people are gonna try to say refs gave this one to us. This isn't really a point worth arguing about or replying to. You'll do it too when the subreddit hates the team you feel got away with shit. I did it during the playoffs against the Suns last year. It's a circle. Just ignore it, shrug, and take the win.
