I have both. I wouldn't get a rocket book. It becomes a bit of a maintenance nightmare.

Thanks for the help, was there anything in particular you found was bothersome?
End of busy week, book nearly full so start capturing. This isn't too bad. Then, clean the pages:
Clean 2 sides. Wait, and wait, and wait for them to dry. Next 2 pages etc. it's an absolute ball ache. Also own takes a while to dry so you can't just flip a page emover because it'll smear what you last write and transfer it to the facing page too.
It was useful when I worked in an environment that allowed no.outside tech but remarkable is much better. These days I'd go for that colour boox one though over a remarkable.
In the case of the rocketbook, from my perspective, it’s a bit cumbersome (haven’t used it tho =P)
I’d say give the rM a try. They have a generous 100-day satisfaction guarantee, so if you can spend on it, try it to see whether you like it or not. Your usecase definitely seems like something that’ll fit the reMarkable, and having a bunch of templates and the ability to load in any PDF file and annotate it directly is very powerful
I used the rocket book for awhile, but it didn't work for my use case. Once I wrote lecture notes, scanned it, that was it. I can look back at the lecture notes, but I can't add anything on top of it like more notes or maybe more examples. My notes were hardcoded pdfs and I didn't like that. On the remarkable on the other hand, I can write over and erase as much as I want.
I still use a rocketbook mini for smaller notes and travel, but for a main note taking experience the remarkable is much better.
I second this! OP if you need an option, I have had a great experience with ReCalendar - personalized calendar PDFs for ReMarkable tablets. There are a lot of great personalization options, you can write in your own holidays, birthdays, etc. For use on the remarkable, the pdf it generates has navigation within it, so it's easy to jump to a certain date or flip between weeks, etc.
