Hey guys 18 yo Saas Dev here, me and my team have built a platform where you can create anyone's Hyperrealistic AI avatar (3D), with just a single pic, a minute or two of voice samples and some context and chat with them. But the problem is despite advertising in several subs, we still have 0 paying customers, I can't figure out the problem, many people told me the product is solid but still low site traffic and no sales, I'm thinking of trying paid ads, maybe that'll work? Please recommend something

This is our site: avtaar.ai

  • You’re asking a premium price, but your website looks „non-premium.“ It doesn’t look like a premium brand, but rather like a small start-up. That’s fine, but you won’t be able to justify a high price with it.

  • Your videos are boring and show the worst of your product. The first video I watched starts with someone asking a question and then 20 seconds of awkward silence before an answer is generated. This needs to be cut out, and, if you want long term customers, a reply needs to be quicker. Maybe you can start generating the response after the first sentence/words comes in, instead of waiting for the whole response to be generated.

  • You need more boobs. Sex sells. On your website it looks like I can talk to a bunch of dudes. Don’t need an AI for that. If I pay per hour, I want to talk to a hot chick. I know it’s sexist, but sex that’s the world we live in.

  • As others pointed out, pick a niche and design landing pages that cater to the target audience.

To put it blatantly:

  • You're not the first.
  • You're not the best.
  • You've no features that set you apart from the competition.
  • You're definitely the most expensive.

Not saying it's a bad idea, but what you have is just not enough.

A good business solves people’s problems.

What problem are you solving for people?

[–] shmoeke2@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Why would anyone want this?

[–] redblade678@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

To make your own Al gf? Based on anyone you want with limited data or to make personal tutor or talk to dead people? Anything you imagine, the usecases are upto you or maybe make virtual streamer?

I tested your site a bit, if you're really 18, you really have something solid! or at least something promising.
Here are my points for improvement:
1 - Your homepage must be direct, this video background and the amount of information is far beyond what is necessary, I suggest something cleaner and more functional.
2 - The login and information upload process is very time consuming and poorly optimized, I suggest two spaces for uploading, one for voice and one for image, a field for name and a field for context - and the rest of the user information put it later.
3 - What market pain does this product really solve now? Is it better than other solutions on the market? I believe that a pivot may be necessary if you want to survive in the market.
Other than that, I believe you're on a good path, don't worry so much at 18, keep committed to improving yourself every day and you'll be successful!
Furthermore, I would love to volunteer on this project, I am currently studying front-end and AI for a year, I will be joining uni in January, and I am looking for projects to volunteer on, if you have a space I would love to be able to help your team.

What's the use case? - the pricing is $12/hour which looks higher per my estimate. I'm an independent market researcher and startup consultant so can help (no obligation initial discussion). Feel free to connect via DM.

To me I don't see a real value proposition here.

Mostly because what you've done looks to be little more than providing a prompt to ChatGPT?

Not helped by the fact OpenAI now have a GPT store that does this already..

"The use cases are up to you" that's the most sales antithetical position I've heard. You are basically putting the burden of selling on your customer to "figure it out".

I'm starting to think based on OP he himself also an AI , but yeah nobody gonna buy your product at this price the only successful AI companion friend/whatever have more reasonable price or free behind a pay to progress.

[–] redblade678@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

You are right, I’ll update the pricing model.

[–] Deep-Earth5616@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I feel like your product is just way too expensive. ChatGPT is $20/month and I can still talk to it. I understand that you bring something different to the table with the avatars and all that but the cost is still too high.

[–] v3ritas1989@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

avatar for what? Metaverse? Why would people want to make a digital avatar, displaying the way they are in RL and not the way they want to be?

Did you ask the VRChat community? They spend thousands of hours for avatars. Especially the streamers. You will have to add cat ears though.

[–] Atriev@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

The actual product and the presentation need significant work to improve.

Having a couple of dudes sitting around a table to mumble a non-English language isn’t going to get you a single paying customer. And the actual avatar sounds as monotone as your presentation video, can’t make realistic faces, and is overall boring. It takes you out the experience. You claim you want to make an AI girlfriend, yet you give me some random beady eyed blockhead brown dude.

[–] oniongarlic88@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

those arent hyperrealistic and you are charging per hour. of course nobody will get that.

[–] Cena_Mobile@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

He really said "hyper realistic" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
