I’m sure you know where this post is headed but I’m looking to buy a field watch for casual wear. Budget ~£500.

Skinny wrist so under 40mm is preferred. Also a white, beige or champagne dial is preferred.

Naturally interested in the Khaki field mechanicals but the seiko snd’s seem to offer similar quality at a better value. Looking through the different variants of Seiko’s has been tedious since they differ on such minor specifications.

If any field owners with a seiko or a Hamilton, or both could chime in with their opinion on owning any field watches I’d appreciate it.

Does it have to be mechanical? Are you going to be using it in the field? Do you need wr and a sapphire crystal etc? Hard to give you advice if we don't know what you need.

No preference in that regard honestly. I just like the look of whiteface field watches
