Let's take last night's OKC v GS game for example. Chet hits a buzzer beater 3 to tie the game and send it into OT. Amazing. People on the court and at home watching their TVs are going wild.

But then 0.001 seconds after the shot: "His foot was on the line though I think" (and clearly it wasn't).

This particular guy does it like every single time. I don't know who he is but he has this dumb habit of trying to put doubt in the viewer's head immediately after something great happens. I've absolutely heard him go "BUT WAS IT A 3!?" in similar situations where it was indisputably a 3. He does it just to be a dick.

Steph could drop a full court shot and this idiot would still be like "bUt WaZ hIs fOoT bEhInD tHe LiNe!?"

Like shut the fuck up and let people enjoy the moment unless you're 100% sure

I happen to like the Warrior's commentators. Of course they are biased. That's why I like them. But they give credit to the other team when it's due

we all know Warriors commentators are ass.
but some commentators just prefer to be ass than be minimally decent. Yesterday, the Pelicans color commentator, after Herb's foul, was saying something alone the line of "we can't do much about it, the foul has been called" and after the 2 FT misses by Gobert he said "it all balances out". Dude was trying to say that the ref's call was bogus. The replay showed Herb grabbing it.

just don't be such a homer to the point of pathetic adulation and clown behavior.

I grew up with Jim Barnett and maybe it was just low expectations or homer bias but they weren’t terrible in the initial replacement period. It feels like ever since the punch things have just been downhill across the board with Golden State. The announcers are probably a contributing factor in why Golden State are insufferable. People are parrots.

I don’t think it was that egregious. Wondering if a foot was on the line is a normal thing to consider when a 3 is shot from that area, especially when the guy is 7’3 with massive feet.

It’s the worst part about NBA telecasts during the season. Each team has their own set of commentators. They basically exist only for the home fans. Very biased and very irritating as a neutral fan. Even worse for the opposition fans. As a sports fan, I’m really disappointed the NBA allows this.

Warriors announcers in particular are god awful. Kinda like when they totally downplayed Draymond WWE choking Gobert and dragging him 20 feet down the court…
