Still no Ben DiNucci

Multi Generational Households are the new blue print for familial success. Most people can't afford to buy a new home especially with interest rates at 8%.

New to the sport so bear with me if this is obvious.

Article mentions that Purdy is making "almost $1M this year". That's crazy low, no?

Are contracts re-negotiable at all? How come Brock isn't making more given that he was named starting QB and has led them to a strong 7-3 thus far. His showing last year should have been enough to warrant more pay, or am I completely off base here. Like, he's leading a top team at the moment and I feel like he's getting severely undercompensated. It's not like he's the 3rd guy on the totem pole anymore.

Or are NFL contracts totally locked in and iron clad?

Thanks in advance for the insight!

Well yeah he’s a single NYC Italian. Who the hell would make his bed and dinner then??

As someone from the Tri-state area of part Italian descent, I completely understood when he talked about his like chicken cutlets. Always a good night when mom was making those.

I get all my news and information from The Guardian. (No I don't)

Sure does. He is never home. Travel or practice. Save all his money retire in few years and start a business. Why pay when you don’t have to?

[–] 1Snowshoe@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I see him living in house with the likes of Tony Lip’s family from The Green Book in an early scene when they’re watching a Yankees game and Roger Maris hits one out of the park.

IDK if it says in the article, but IIRC, he lives like 15 mins from where the stadium is.

It's always sunny in.....New York.

[–] rawmerow@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He needs to get his shoe shine box, that’s what he needs to do.

[–] candidlol@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

i mean at this point hes probably played well enough to be a backup qb for a while so he should be fine on money long term

[–] thedudeabides811@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

They call him Spit Shine Tommy. He'll make your shoes look like fucking mirrors.

Anyone see that picture his mom painted?

One dog goes one way, the other dog goes the other way, and this guy’s sayin’ “whaddya want from me?”

[–] PUfelix85@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I mean, have you seen the rent in NYC? I'm sure his paycheck for the game helps his mom pay the mortgage/rent. I just hope they have enough for food at the end of the month.

And I picked him up off the waiver wire in my dynasty league a few days ago and he won my week for me. Thanks!

[–] lls_in_ca@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If he can stand it, why not save the money? Especially if you could be traded at any time.

A WR for the Bengals lived at their stadium for their first 2 years in the league: https://www.cnn.com/2023/02/24/sport/chad-johnson-nfl-cincinnati-bengals-spt-intl/index.html
