He is an above .500 coach, he should get a 4 year extension.

Everyone in the AFCW is rooting for him to get an extension!

What a line!

Don’t let any of this distract you from the fact that Todd Bowles is still the worst coach in the NFL

[–] dennydiamonds@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I thought he’d be fired by the time I got up this morning.

[–] UsernameChallenged@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Yo, f that, we don't want him here either.

I was told that if the Chargers just got rid of Anthony Lynn all of their problems will go away...

[–] savagebury@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Tbf he got fired from his next job too

[–] ridemooses@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Did he drop all those balls?

[–] emelbee923@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

While I think we can agree that Staley has the Chargers underachieving, to be kind, I'm not sure Rex Ryan is the right guy to criticize coaching. He has a sub-.500 career head coaching record, and is best known for having his own foot fetish put on blast, and the Butt Fumble.

[–] Delverzero@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This is all somehow still Norv Turners fault.

[–] Grymninja@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

There are hot seats and then there's Staley's seat. Last night's performance might be too much for even Spanos to stomach...

Day 74 of Rex Ryan attacking whichever coach has an underperforming defense until he gets hired as someone’s DC.

9-7,11-5, 8-8, 6-10, 8-8, 4-12, 8-8, 7-8 (Fired).

The guy had one above average season and ESPN calls him an expert.

I guess in this case it's accurate, if Rex is considered an expert in lackluster coaching.

the fact Staleys being clowned by a dude who yodeled in an episode of the amazing race is silly to me

[–] losboldas@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Padres and Chargers have the same problem.

Snap the ball? Catch the ball? Hit with RISP? How about I hit the beach and catch these tasty waves

[–] Writerhaha@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Some joke about Rex and Staley getting the boot…

[–] belarge89@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Maybe a Belicheck/McDaniels reunion in sunny San Diego?

[–] CPTHoagie@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Rex Ryan is a fucking clown.

[–] Iqmecca@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago
[–] serpentear@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Well shoot, if Rex says it.

[–] Particular-Ad-4772@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Rex is trying to get himself an interview for D. Coordinator position with chargers .

They are loaded with talent and should be able to get whatever coaches they desire.

[–] redrdr1@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Lol, don't get testy with the press. They have all the power to help make you look good or look bad. Not that I think Staley should retain his job, but they're going to make him out to be the fool now.

[–] mkar2424@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This is the loudest I’ve cheered during the Brandon Staley era

[–] mrarnold50@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I must have missed where Ryan is the second coming of Belichick.

Fun fact statistically, given talent, Norv Turner was one of their last decent HCs.
