Lions at their worst still aren’t the worst team in the division
NFL
A place for NFL news, game highlights and everything that excites you about American Football.
Fields isn't the problem, but he's also not the solution either.
I still haven't seen much evidence he's a QB you can contend for a SB with. He played fine yesterday, but if we have the #1 or #2 pick you have to take a Williams or Maye.
Kenny Pickett is the worst starting QB in the NFL, even worse than Mac or Zach. He does nothing good. If he didn’t play at Pitt, he would be booed mercilessly week in and week out.
It frustrates me that the vast majority of the blame goes to Matt Canada. Is he a good OC? No. Should he back next year? No.
Pickett is far and away the biggest problem with the Steelers offense. There isn’t an offensive coach in the league who can make Pickett into an even average starter.
I believe he was only drafted bc Art II didn’t want to pass up another Pitt guy like they did Marino
There's a lot of teams with failures at HC or OC/DC, and they're wasting entire seasons of progression keeping them around. Chargers, Jets, Commanders, Panthers, Steelers, probably missing some others.
It's amazing watching these teams keep doing the same thing every single week for an entire season that doesn't work.
Why don’t they just fire them mid season and get a Joe Brady??? But seriously, why do the same thing over and over and expect different results unless at this point you’re just okay with losing.
My Texans take
- CJ Stroud's first half was fucking ridiculous. I understand it's overshadowed by his awful second half but still. The fact that even in his worst game all year he puts up a half like that is crazy promising
- Running game emerging gives me hope that maybe this success can be more sustainable through the rest of the year
- Demeco Ryans actually has pretty fuckin solid game/clock management which is something we haven't seen in Houston in a long time.
- On defense Pitre is not the player we hoped he would be right now. He's had a terrible stretch of games and is missing so many opportunities for big plays
- Christian Harris is balling out recently after a rough rookie year and a rough start to this year
- This pass rush is playing really well. I believe we are now 8th in sacks over the last 5 games
- Defense as a whole still feels a little suspect. It's very bend but don't break and I don't really know if that can hold up over the final stretch this year or in the playoffs
Maybe it's just me but this is a strange transition for me being a Packers fan. It's weird seeing Vikings and Lions fans slowly start to hate each other when I felt like they would team up and shit-talk us. Us winning isn't that big of a deal anymore except for us Packer fans. But the other thing is nobody really cares if we lose anymore either. Sure there are probably a few memes and jokes but nothing like what it used to be. We are just a team in the NFL that exists now.
The best way I can describe it is we use to be young and fit and got all this attention. Now we are middle aged and out shape and just blend into the background.
I know I know so many teams are gonna be like "now you know what it feels like." Yes! We finally get to feel a fraction of what you felt for decades. But it's still a new feeling. At least for me.
Fuck we are only halfway done with this season. Who knows what happens next year?
But right now this feeling is different.
Titans are really bad, like really really bad.
Chargers are gonna Charger
Jets are gonna Jets
It's that week where things start getting sorted out. The real season starts Thanksgiving week.
The AFC South is going to get 2 playoff teams
The over reactions to ramsey is hilarious
