Tim Boyles stats from his first 3 years at UConn: 25 games, 1,237 passing yards, 48% completion percentage (wtf???), 1 whole touchdown (wtf??????), 13 interceptions

This is legitimately one of the worst 3 year stat lines I’ve ever seen. But let’s give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe there was a bad situation at UConn. Maybe it was a coaching problem or the team was just THAT horrible. Well here are his stats from his one season after he transferred to Eastern Kentucky (an FCS school FYI): 12 games, 2,134 yards, 11 touchdowns, 13 interceptions, 61.5 % completion percentage.

Better, but the competition dropped going from an FBS school to an FCS school. So the question is HOW THE HELL did this guy end up with a job in the NFL?? And not only that, but get multiple jobs on multiple different teams. Is there something going on here? Something I’m missing in this story? No wonder the Jets were so hesitant to put this guy in. Now watch him torch the Dolphins on Friday lol

I've been wondering this for years, when he was on the Lions I looked up his stats and couldn't comprehend how he got an NFL job.

I think his girlfriend or wife is a really fast runner?

My best guess would be that there must be some connection between eastern Kentucky staff and the Packers staff/area scouts who tipped them off about Boyle being a great QB room guy. The brought him in for a pre draft visit in 2018 and in the 2018 preseason he wasn't bad at all.

Has a really good laminator and 3 hole punch in his locker.

He’s most likely a really talented “coach-type” as opposed to “skill-type”. We all dream big of being on the field and I’m sure even some of us see or predict the plays that result in TDs or big gains sometimes but We, like HIM just aren’t very physically talented. He’s just found a way to use his brain to get paid big bucks for a few years.

He's not on a NFL roster, he's on the Jets
