So do we still have that soft schedule excuse at this point?

[–] ovondansuchi@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

So that’s what it feels like to win like Mike Tomlin

[–] fuqumm@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

How are the Chiefs even 7-3 with the receiver group they have

[–] TF_Sally@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The eagles’ superpower is that they make opposing teams play just a bit worse to secure ugly win after ugly win

The Jets, for obvious reasons, are immune to such dark magic

[–] MinaElesia@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Holy fuck, those drops were painful to watch. Poor Mahomes. Game went by quick for me, but I thought SNF was a bit more fun this week.

[–] xcaltoona@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Frauds huh?

(we might both just be a lot worse than last year)

[–] regalfronde@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Eagles getting away with a lot these last few weeks

[–] Inallahtent@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

These Kansas City Chiefs have 25+ drops. This season. And it's only week 11.

That team let Mahomes, Reid, and KC down. The dude can't throw and catch it. The Kelce fumble.

Can you believe 26 TWENTY SIX DROPS & its week 11 going into week 12.

These receivers have clubs on. Amazon boxes! FEET!!!!

BRUH.... WHAT THE HELL WAS THIS GAME!!!!!

[–] isworthtwointhe@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

ARE YOU FUCKING SORRY!?!?

Hurts is 13-0 over the last 13 games against teams over .500 entering the game.

[–] Mickey95@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

man the 49ers fans have been real quiet after the first half, wonder why?

[–] NonVeganRibeye@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago
[–] StinkmeanerIV@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Hol' up... let the Chiefs receivers cook! Even Kelce had a drop and fumble lol.

Imagine having Mahomes and scoring ZERO points in the second half 😭

[–] lkn240@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Tons of whining about the refs in the thread.... while I don't think the game was particularly well officiated - it was pretty fairly officiated. Both teams got their share of shitty calls in their favor.

[–] BurritoTheory@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Finally we get to claim the shit people have been bitching about when playing us all year

We won vs the Chiefs and the Refs

[–] Frostysewp@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

ESPN like: How can we blame Taylor swift for this loss?

[–] PasGuy55@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Can we fire our OC into the sun now? You expect a new OC to grow over the season but this dude has 0 feel for game flow and no clue how to engineer a drive when you’re trying to hold a lead.

[–] PublicIntel@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Not the prettiest win, but the Eagles found a way to win. Scary to think that they still have yet to play their best game!

[–] D-Voltt@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

In the end, our mediocre offensive play calling wasn't enough to out mediocre KC's wide receiver room. A fun game, but definitely frustrating to watch on both sides.

[–] JaedenRohde@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Nagy should lean more onto the running game.

[–] Tyraxez@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Do the Eagles also get an asterisk because of KC WR drops?

[–] wat_what_wut@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Chiefs have gone the Packers with Rodgers route: short a great QB worthwhile receivers and expect him to make up the slack. Sad to watch.

[–] PaulotheamericanPat@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I know I might sound bias but I don’t think either team are the 2 best teams. I could see ravens and Niners for the Super Bowl tbh

[–] theDylanS@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

MVS with perhaps the most egregious case of brick-hands-itis this season with multiple crucial drops.

The Chiefs having nearly 30 drops on the season is crazy

[–] ninerninerking@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I can’t stand Sirianni

[–] a_high_old_guy@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

this game was incredible. 2 teams with top defenses, truly showing why they're the best teams in the league, making the other QB look not worth their money. hurts had 1 good drive in the first half, but looked abysmal throughout the rest of it.

KC receivers had some terrible drops, but they don't have to take deep shots or hope to convert a 4th and 25 if the eagles D doesn't clamp down on them in the 2nd half. neither QB reached 200 yards passing. KC got shut out in the second half. that doesn't happen if your defense is bad.

I can only hope that any further rematches are as good as this game was.

[–] QueasyTwo9524@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That was nuts. Chiefs had 2 red zone turnovers and who-knows how many drops and still almost had it. These teams are scary

[–] Ornery_Gene7682@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If the Playoffs were decided today this is the AFC standings

  1. Baltimore 8-3
  2. Kansas City 7-3
  3. Jacksonville 7-3
  4. Miami 7-3
  5. Cleveland 7-3
  6. Houston 6-4
  7. Pittsburgh 6-4
[–] fertmort@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Chiefs fan dropping the gloves Mahomes threw to him at the end was poetic

[–] PCP_Panda@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I have a feeling Philly post lights and bus stops will be destroyed by celebrations this year

[–] youtube_and_chill@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Chiefs fans losing it because they might play the AFCCG on the road instead of at home for the first time this decade.

As long as Mahomes is breathing and healthy they're a SB contender, the WRs can't drop every pass.

[–] Licit_x64@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I know the chiefs shot themselves in the foot a lot but the Eagles being 9-1 not playing their best football against an actual tough schedule is crazy. If this team puts it together (still an if imo) it’s gonna be scary.

Justin Watson, the leading receiver on the night dropping a heroic throw by Mahomes on 4th down for the game could not have summed up the night any better for the chiefs. Absolutely shocking that they thought this receiver group would just get better. This is on Veech

[–] el_fitzador@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Gotta wait for 45 minutes for the heart rate to drop

[–] KyWy75@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

You ever think about how the Chiefs picked a running back that doesn’t get snaps for them anymore one spot before Tee Higgins? I think about that some times.

[–] trogdor1234@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Too bad the grass was slick,

[–] OhMy98@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Drinking game idea: take a shot every time a chiefs receiver manages to not drop the ball. Even abstinent people can play!

[–] ggfchl@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I think the reason the Chiefs lost is because a certain someone wasn't at the game...

[–] buddychristtattoo@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Media guy: " okay, now we will hear from Marques Valdez Scantling"

MVS: *drops mic

[–] Alexactly@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Gonna be honest, Toney looked aggressive out there. Maybe it's PTSD from the super bowl but each time he had the ball i thought he was gonna break every tackle and score.

[–] yungtrapfatgag@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Sports! This is why we watch! Life is good!!!! (Don’t look at my comments in the game thread)

[–] TurboHovercrafter@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Andy Reid is reverting to his old early Eagles ways. Can’t wait til they sign Jalen Reagor as their WR2 next year.

[–] kctrotter@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Smart of the Chiefs WRs to get all of their drops out of the way before the playoffs start.

My takeaways other than the putrid WR group is that the Chiefs defense is a ton of fun to watch, and it's hard to keep the Eagles down all game.

[–] J-Colio@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I blame the Chiefs fan who took a bite of pizza, then gave his homie a bite by holding the slice up for him.

[–] YEGGSnBACON@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

So Patrick Mahomes throwing his hands on his head every time a play doesn’t go his way is pretty much his signature at this point right?

Mahomes asked MVS and Watson to deliver a package for him. A few minutes later, they came back. Mahomes didn’t need to ask. Mahomes just smiled, as he knows it’s already been dropped off

[–] Mod_Girl@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Jason is the better Kelce.

[–] bluntforce21@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Chiefs bet on developing Skyy Moore and Toney, along with Rice easing into the offense and Kelce's typical dominance. Rice looks promising but those other bets have not paid off. Moore and Toney are both terrible, and Kelce has lost a step.

[–] YnwaMquc2k19@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

We live in an age where the Chiefs can front a top-10, if not a top-5 Defensive unit (Praise be to Spag), but the offensive unit, especially the wideout corps, are utterly dogshit.

I honestly can’t believe it. If the Chiefs want to maintain their chances at contention for a championship, they need to sort this out - FAST.

[–] BodaciousTacoFarts@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Only teams that wear green and white can beat us.
