A Mido Ocean Star is a nice, quality diver at a good price point. Looks similar to and Omega Seamaster (both Swatch brands)

Tudor black bay 58 or black bay 54 if you have smaller wrists.
How much is a vintage tudor sub these days? Could be an option
If you like the black sub, then a Tag Heuer Aquaracer 300m looks closest to it. It‘s 43mm, but has short lugs and is 12mm thick, so it wears quite a bit smaller. Omega Seamaster 300m, but it‘s BIG. Oris Aquis and Breitling Superocean Heritage are also alternatives. Longines Spirit Zulu Time might also scratch the itch. In general, there‘s a shitton of watches that look similar to the Sub, so best look around a bit.
Seamaster wears surprisingly well for the size. Unsurprisingly, same goes for the Speedmaster
Seiko Galante if you want to get noticed
Tudor would be your best bet
if you like the submariner, check out the tudor black bay 58. it's got a similar vibe and comes in blue, might be up your alley. as for second hand sites, try chrono24 or watchbox for trusted options. good luck!
Longines.
Is Brand recognition important?
If you like the look of a Rolex sub, you could check out the Monta Oceanking. it's not a well known brand, but it's a great quality watch for the money.
Others have suggested Tudor black bay 58 which is also a great choice.
Baume & Mercier Riviera 10746.
Tudor. It will be hard to get 54. 58 should be available in blue or nato. Try 39; might get lucky but when I went to the showroom they didn’t have 39 in stock and said it moves really quickly.
Is there a luxury watch dealer in Toronto I can go to look at these models?
Thanks, everyone, for your responses, I think I'm going to go with the Oris Aquis.
