It’s a little known fact that the US Coast Guard had a pretty major presence in the Vietnam conflict.

US Coast Guard is all over the world not just US conducting missions. This was 2005 in support of Operation Iraq Freedom. US Coast Guard has been in many US conflicts throughout history.
