Looking at the rest of the current top teams in the NFL and their records against teams that currently hold a winning record:

  • Eagles (9-1) are 4-0

  • Ravens (8-3) are 4-2

  • Chiefs (7-3) are 3-2

  • 49ers (7-3) are 3-2

  • Jaguars (7-3) are 1-3

  • Cowboys (7-3) are 0-2

  • Dolphins (7-3) are 0-3

Part of the Lions's low record against winning teams is due to a weaker NFC North this season (although Vikings currently hold a winning record and Lions have yet to play them). But it still stands that the Lions have had a relatively weaker schedule this year, and have not defeated a team with a current winning record since Week 1.

This stands to change with upcoming games against the Vikings (6-5) and Cowboys (7-3), as well as possibly the Broncos and Saints (5-5) depending on how their records turn out.

I think they are very good, but this proves that the stupid 0-3 thing for the dolphins is irrelevant. You play who is on the schedule!

Yes the Lions have had an easier schedule, which was expected to be the case earlier in the season.

Let’s say the broncos win this week. Does that mean the dolphins would be 1-3 or still 0-3?

I can't overstate how much they should've lost to the Bears. Teams were 48-0 with a +3 turnover margin and 40 minutes of possession before we fucked it up.

There’s no real juggernaut this year. The team in probably scared of most tho is the 9ers. They just have the most talent top to bottom. I wouldn’t be that worried if we matched with Detroit in the playoffs tho.

All the teams on this list are good and capable of beating anybody. But as of today the Niners are the team on this list that scares me the most.

Lions v. Cowboys is going to be game of the year

Their defense is stopping nobody in the playoffs

Most of these teams have had more opportunities than us.

After 10 games they've only played 3 with winning records? That's pretty crazy.

Sort of a “paper champ” at the moment. Hope they prove themselves the rest of the way.

I don’t think lions fans even care. Winning the north and getting a home playoff game for the first time in what 30 years? Yea they’re fine be called frauds

Yeah, beating all the teams you're supposed to beat is the sign of a good NFL team. If you're 9-0 against the under .500 teams you only need to win half your games against the good teams to finish 13-4 and be in the running for a top seed.
