Will we start seeing less talent on defense as the league seems to be favoring the offense now more than ever?

[–] FloridaMan221@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Not as soft as your Achilles, big dawg

[–] chocjames43@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Wait, now you're looking at tom brady?? I just got you guys to stop looking at travis. WHAT DOES A GUY HAVE TO DO.

[–] LBJBROW@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Kinda ironic coming from him, no?

[–] smarkjacobs@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The two guys most responsible for the changing definitions and unfairness of the Roughing the Passer penalty

[–] tayroarsmash@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Defenses are still tough enough to end Aaron Rodger’s season so what exactly is he talking about?

[–] topkingdededemain@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Why is Aaron the softest man on earth saying “society is soft”?

It’s like bro you’re scared of science and actually having a family that loves you.

You’d think being stupid and having a family that actually hates you would make you strong. But no not Aaron

[–] Imperatum15@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Interest that the people who say society is soft lose their shit when you criticize Christianity, Trump, American imperialism, billionaires, corporations. The list goes on. Their temper tantrum on Starbucks red cups

[–] RBlomax38@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Dude can’t even play a single snap of football without snapping his ACL

[–] togsincognito@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Brave words for a guy who has 0 completions in 2023

[–] texasgambler58@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The players union won the right to less practice time, there is widespread free agency with 25% annual roster churn; these two items will create ugly football. I'm so old that I remember when holding on a running play was ridiculed; now it's commonplace. The tackling is also pretty poor because no teams have tackling at practice - the number of guys I see throwing an arm or shoulder instead of wrapping their arms is just ridiculous.

People have been complaining about the game getting softer for years and nobody paid this much attention until these two pretty boys started bitching. The nfl literally must have added half a dozen rules about how you can hit the quarterback so that these 2 bozos specifically could have longer more successful careers.

[–] mrplow3@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I mean this isn’t going to go over on Reddit, where the average Mod is basically a human pillow. But we all know him and Brady are 100% right. They aren’t even defensive players making this criticism. Cope Reddit, cope.

Edit: also Brady and Rodgers are both California boys. So not only are they not defensive players, they aren’t from a redneck state like Alabama. Maybe y’all need to listen.

[–] Opportunity_Knocks23@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ironic coming from a guy who looks at the ref with his hands up calling for a penalty every time he’s been hit for the last decade lol

[–] Soft-Cupcake-2143@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Wanna know what’s soft? Getting merc’d on your first drive of the season

[–] spg1611@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

There’s a whole lotta jokes here… but there’s a combination of him being right and player safety mixed causing it

[–] altitties@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The worst possible take by the dumbest possible man. Bravo

[–] dbandit1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What a douchebag

[–] jetpack_operation@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Leave it to Aaron Rodgers to say "talent across the league is down" but dumber.

[–] Do__Math__Not__Meth@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

These two are saying this stuff as if they aren’t the reasons for a lot of these rules

[–] vanevasion303@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Or social media has zapped our best athletes into little narcissists.

It’s one of the reasons Jalen stands out, he’s not on that bull shit sharing his thoughts on shit.

[–] BuhtanDingDing@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

its wokeISM guys. wokeISM is ruining the NFL obviously

[–] jtd2013@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Brady unretired and lost his wife just to take a wild card L to the Cowboys and Rodgers thumped his chest for most of his career just to tear his Achilles 5 minutes into his first chance to back his words up. More “Bitter Old Men Analysis” coming up at 5.

[–] HungDaddyNYC@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Nobody:

Aaron Rogers: Please talk about me.

[–] Vast-Treat-9677@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This all started because they forced coaches to give these SOB’s water during training camp drills.

[–] Dunniss@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Cute. The irrelevant Aaron Rodgers trying to be relevant. He should go back to his Joe Rogan Circlejerk

[–] Gabaloo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He said this partly in response to the Kareem Jackson hit.

Just shut the fuck up Aaron. No one wants our current nfl stars to be vegetables in 15 years.

This guy is so stupid, society isn't soft, it's smarter

[–] ozairh18@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Rodgers complaining about his collarbone injury against the Vikings is what led to the ridiculous amount of roughing the passer penalties in the NFL

[–] sabotage_mutineer@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Says the guy who couldn’t handle a little love tap 4 plays into the drive!

[–] Counselor-Ug-Lee@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s probably just bored cause his family didn’t invite him to Thanksgiving.

At least society isn’t as soft as your Achilles, Aaron.

[–] Earptastic@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I am in construction. The young guys are pretty freaking soft.

[–] Sabres00@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Defenses eating avocado toast these days.

[–] SnooPets1528@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It will never not be hilarious that after all the shit from this summer he tore his Achilles on like play 2

[–] xcaltoona@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Old men yell at clouds

[–] GwenIsNow@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yet he plays with a helmet and pads. What a tough guy.

[–] codeByNumber@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Lmao, this fucking guy. You made millions playing a game. You’re soft

[–] AncientTree_Wisdom@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Brady was making a great point and has been saying this for years.

Rodgers is just trying to stir shit up while trying to have a foot on both side. The smarmy MFer speaking out of both sides of his mouth.

[–] TetrisTech@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This is the most Aaron Rodgers take of all time

[–] Bad-Yeti@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Pro football is nothing like it was even 10 years ago. John Lynch, one of my favorite players of all time, could not play in today's NFL. He would be suspended and fined into oblivion. I loved seeing how hard he would make a receiver pay for catching the ball. Was he dirty? I don't think so. Is it better that hits like he made are being taken out of the game? Probably.

[–] How_that_convo_went@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Oh please. Every time Brady got hit, he’d look up at the ref like ”You gonna let this guy DO that to me?!”

As much as I hate to admit it, the toughest QB to play the game in recent memory was Andrew Luck. He would get absolutely leveled, hop back up and compliment the guy who just hit him on his impeccable form.

[–] Weekend_Criminal@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This softening of society is the only reason those two old men have been able to play as long as they have.
