Have been looking at a new pair of he1000 V2 stealth for $1999

The he1000se is currently listed at hifimans website for $1749 refurbished and end up at roughly the same price after shipping and as I understood they are pretty much a little bit better at everything.

Can you trust hifimans refurbished products? I saw one post where someone got mold on the headband and several posts where they got brand new perfect pairs aswell.

Apart from the mold thing and that the headphones might have some smaller blemishes. Is there a known issue with the drivers being faulty to a bigger extent than buying new ones?

Are the 1000se so much better that it's worth taking a leap of faith on the refurb to get the same price as the V2 stealth?

Just bought refurb Sundara’s a few weeks ago, no issues so far. 30 day returns and 1 year warranty made me feel good about the purchase.

You can get the HE1000v2 Stealth at a lower price, depending on where you order from. I'm not sure how much the VAT and import fees would amount to if you order from Hifiman directly, but Amazon.de has them for €1,580 delivered anywhere in Europe.
