Hi everyone - I am thinking about buying a R2. One thing I can’t find is how well it manages e-newspapers (basically PDF’s of the actual newspaper). I uploaded a couple of pages from a Wall Street Journal here.

Would anyone be so kind to let me know how readable it is, how easy it is to move between pages, and how well it zooms in? For example, how difficult it is to read the “Microsoft goes to Hollywood” at the bottom of page 1?

Thanks!!!

Remarkable doesn’t do reading very well. I download some articles that I want to read on the subway occasionally, but I’m considering an e-reader soon.

I love eink so I bought a boox palma which is less expensive due to size and very portable. It reads all newspaper apps I've thrown at it

It’s better than I thought it would be. Pinch and zoom and panning on a remarkable is a little harder than a phone, but once you get it down, it’s not bad. If reading is a primary use case, I’m not sure the remarkable is the best option, but if you want a remarkable for writing AND also reading a newspaper, it’s fine. Just know that there are no apps, so you have to pass a PDF in. I use OneDrive and just opened your PDF from a hotel wifi with no issues. Google Drive and Dropbox are also supported.
