One of these pops up every now and then. So I'll share some of mine and yall can in the comments.

The Denver mile high city jerseys are really cool.

And, I don't act like Dillon Brooks is the worst player in the world and never discredited him. I hate Brooks as much as the next guy but people acting like he's a Shanghai Shark only said that because they hate him

Don't know if this is an opinion, but an unpopular what if scenario is what if Kevib McHale never broke his foot. McHale was improving by the year and was on a great trajectory when he broke his foot and kept playing through it

Every era has its ups and downs. None is perfect or shit.

Also the MJ-LeBron debate is annoying and has gotten toxic. Some Bron fans rehash anti Brin arguments for mj. You know "Bron can't win without Kyrie-AD-Wade" vs "MJ can't win without pippen." Its a debate that pretty much always gets annoying. .

Scoring isn’t just ppg. Some players like Steph demoralize their opponents by hitting some insane shots and that’s something that not a lot of players do. AD for example scores really well but it never really feels like he’s dominating the offensive side. Kobe is a prime example of this. He wasn’t the most efficient legend (tho he was efficient in his era) but he would beat teams mentally with his onslaught of scoring and that would make it easier for his teammates to score or for him to score. It feels like people on this sub just look at ppg and think it’s just that number plus their TS% in order to get a sense of how good of a scorer a player is/was.

Essentially what I’m trying to say is that not all high scoring players are the same. Some score 30 ppg (Beal) but don’t really make defenses afraid of them like Curry, Jordan, LeBron, Kobe, etc… that aspect of their games is what made their scoring more impressive. Demoralizing teams is part of their legacy’s. Along with their scoring.

With the rise of 3 point shooting, game to game variance is higher than ever and its gotten to the point where a 7 game series isnt always indicative of which team is better, rather who’s players are hotter at the moment.

To go along with that, I don’t believe the actual best team has won the championship the past 5 years. Meaning if we simulated the playoffs (got rid of injuries) and instead of a 7 game series we make it a best of 101, none of the last 5 champions would be the same.

Nba Reddit and the individual team sub reddits are the best place to discuss with knowledgeable nova fans that don’t just fall for the media narrative and actually analyze the game using their independent thought / brain.

Tim Duncan’s longevity is vastly overrated and somewhat manufactured.

Not many superstars have the luxury of being able have their minutes limited starting age 28, and his decline coincided perfectly with the rise of Manu, Parker and eventually Kawhi.
