For a player considered a superstar, this level of inconsistency is definitely concerning, especially in back-to-back games. Scoring single digits and having to rely on 38 year old LeBron to carry the team is just unacceptable

Real story is AD has been less aggressive offensively since he started playing the 5 full-time, likely due to all the wear-and-tear of carrying the Lakers’ defense on his back every night. Back when he was the PF and had McGee, Dwight, Gasol, and Drummond to soak up contact at the rim he was very consistent offensively, and it’s no coincidence that LeBron (who plays the 4 now) has taken up a lot of AD’s old scoring load.

He doesn't care about basketball anymore folks.

Tonight was Ham doing zero adjustments to make it easier for AD

Its annoying as fuck, but its how it goes with him. He has a hip issue right now or something, idk. Maybe its an excuse maybe its truly bothering him on B2Bs. You can work with it because even without scoring he can still be a force on defense. And when he plays at his peak he is a top-5 player.

I've been saying this for years with this Lakers roster (AD and Bron plus role players) that the regular season just doesn't really matter. Last year tested that theory but they turned it on late after dealing with the Westbrook situation. If AD has to take games off (even when playing) and it means he will be able to function later in the season, I'll take some extra losses. The consequence is the player doesn't get his DPOY or MVP votes and people on reddit say he isn't top-10. Great, thats fair and fine but show me what he gives in the playoffs and I will judge that extremely critically.

Absolutely nasty business to imply the Lakers have lost three in a row

let's ignore the six wins over the same period

Lakers fan hate it and downvote me to hell, but his entire Lakers career has been disapointing. Choke Davis, how I like to call him. The hype, the evaluations, the choice made by Bron to bring him in... This was supposed to be a consistent killer giving up to 27 ppg and around 10 rebounds a night, EVERY NIGHT. I talk shit on Embiid because he is good and I don't like him or his franchise. But he is a real superstar.

I don't hate on the Lakers, and I feel Davis seems like a sweet guy, but this is just a joke. If you are not going to play your heart out and be the best you can be at 30 years old and on the Lakers with a real team, when exactly do you cement your individual legacy?

Davis is not him.

He’s literally averaging 22 12 and 3 blocks

Ain’t no way anyone reading all that after that trash choke Davis nickname

Lakers fans might want im to be a superstar, putting up these numbers every other game tells another story.

AD is what he is, and that's not a superstar, his superstar days were in New Orleans. He's an aged star on the decline, due to all his past injuries, sure he can provide a good game or two every few games, he's far from consistent, and LA should've known this for the last couple years, unfortunately they needed more shooting around Bron and couldn't adequately fill the big role for AD
