Ok, I have enjoyed a number of his products.

  • Written by Jonathan Trooper

He wrote Banshee and Warrior and other TV Work at have their fans/audiences. I have never seen any of it.

  • Stars Gosling and Smith

I like both a lot.

  • It is set five years after Rise of The Skywalker and is a totally new character.

That is promising and with everything Star Wars..

Is it Andor or is it The Acolyte?

It's worth pointing out that they worked together on the film, "The Adam Project".

The film was largely forgettable, but not bad. Assuming they learned from this film, it leans more towards Andor than Acolyte, although just a lean.

Yeah and that Trooper also worked on the Dead Pool movies so he is in Rob Ryan’s orbit.

I am allowing myself to get interested in another Star Wars product and unfortunately they rarely reward.

come on with this Acolyte slander. that show was dope. imperfect, sure. but it covered a cool era with cool characters, great fights and a rare look into the Sith.

real shame it's not being followed up on.

if you want to showcase the worst of SW, say something like TRoS.

man, this is why we can't have nice things.

[–] IWW4@lemmy.zip -1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

It already wasn’t a nice thing, so nothing was lost.

This sub thread is about the Acolyte man….

The Acolyte IS SW

I hope this goes better than Terminator: Genisys.

Remember when Smith signed up and they wouldn't reveal what character he was playing.

To be honest, the whole film was dreadful, I think it's the worst Terminator out of the franchise.

Doctor noo, dont go to the dark side

[–] zabadoh@ani.social 3 points 4 months ago (3 children)

Yeah, WTF is this with Hollywood casting Doctors as villains?

Tennant as Purple Man, Capaldi as Thinker, now Matt?

[–] wjrii@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

Once you play a blond in a Game of Thrones show, you're on the "potentially a villain" list. Them's the rules.

[–] CitizenKong@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

Peter Cushing as Tarkin too. Though he wasn't mainly known as The Doctor of course.

[–] alsimoneau@lemmy.ca 2 points 4 months ago

Tennant was a villain in Potter beforehand though.

Matt Smith.... urrrgh.
