Guys I've only watched football for like 25 years can some tell me wtf this "free kick" talk is about?
NFL
A place for NFL news, game highlights and everything that excites you about American Football.
It won't happen but a Bridgewater comeback game here would be nuts.
I love how a lot of stuff happened in that last minute but at the same time nothing was actually accomplished
2ND QUARTER NON-COMMERCIAL TIME: 33:29
- 31st most of 36 primetime games
Stupid decision to kick the field goal there.
They're upset they got decimated at lambeau and are trying to make up for it
Damn, that was a good effort by Raymond
Lol that return is the most excitement the fans have had today.
Auburn kickers don’t get kicks run back on them. Only Alabama kickers
Should’ve taken the free kick!
Alabama fans had flashbacks there
People keep trying to say the eagles are the 2022 Vikings when it’s really the lions lol
That would have been a cool kick-6
What is a free kick in the NFL?
I am sad
Do boomers still think people still like Jack Harlow or something?
Thanksgiving food is so fucking bland
Doubling down on the not being able to cook eh?
It’s a volume thing
Sean McVay on his fourth glass of wine after that half
It was a good try
I HATE THE FUCKING MOON
I was denied a Thanksgiving fair catch free kick and I am now unhappy
Egg and Thanksgiving. The real national tradition.
A miracle return would have been cool....
Are Lions fans okay ?
Should’ve taken the kick
I love Raymond.. he plays so hard
Hey we're out of milk, I'm gonna run to the store real quick. Y'all need anything?
Idk what's up with Goff the last couple of games but he's really pissing me off.
I mean there's no way a regular 63 yard field goal is easier to make than a 66 yard free kick. No defense and as much run up as you desire. It doesn't add up
Lions fans in the Eagles Chiefs thread, real fucking quiet now. After the last few weeks this is staggering levels of fraud
this game has teetered between being crazy exciting and a total shit show
What was with LaFleur running into the stadium staff?
Lions are paper tigers totally exposed today
Goff is the new Zach Wilson
That second fumble by Goff looks HORRIBLE in slow mo
The amount of football fans who don't know what a free kick is.
A free kick is basically a kickoff. Free kicks begin each half and occur after every scoring play. Scrimmage kicks are punts.
Following a fair catch, a team can elect to free kick the ball and if the ball goes through the uprights, that counts as a standard field goal. Because the defense can't rush, you could feasible see a 75-yard field goal with a good kicker
I just woke up. Wtf happened to the Lions???
If they don't come back this is such typical Lions like the Carolina game last year
Had the media saying they were gonna get the 1 seed because their schedule is so easy and they lay a massive egg at home vs GB.
what's a free kick?
So let’s recap:
Lions couldn’t stop the Chargers and needed the Offense to put up 40 to win
Lions couldn’t stop the Bears and needed last minute voodoo magic to win
Amd now for the third week in a row it’s looking like again the Lions offense will need a miracle
all of which were .500 or below teams the Lions played
but please go on how the Lions aren’t the 2022 Vikings and they’ll DEFINITELY not get blown out in the Wildcard….again
WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE A WAXING GIBBOUS!!!
If there are any GB/Alabama fans, they were probably having heart palpations there.
lmao they actually got a return off that. Not sure I'd kick it if he can't actually get it there.
I'm honestly surprised that all NFL kickers don't have the leg for a 63 yarder. I get the accuracy part
Can't fault them for trying a FG, make or miss, the Packers did play that last down really well. Just not enough leg strength to get it there.
