Just outside of town, hell of a deal. So far people here have suggested a car lot, a wholesale scratch and dent appliance warehouse, flooring store. Would love input and ideas!

Could you share the listing so we can see the type of building and lot and it’s location?

Private lifestyle club.

You work to live, not live to work.

Sell it or rent it. If you have no debt on the property, just get it rented. As many people have commented, commercial space is abundant.

You have to aggressively undercut the vacant market, but if you acquired this parcel for actual pennies on the dollar, undercut the vacancies by 25-50%, get it rented long-term, and just collect.

If you have to ask the question, "what kind of business should I start", I strongly suggest you not take that avenue.

Indoor mini golf. Look up Tee Party in North Carolina.

Buy pallets of Amazon returns and set up a shipping department to resell.

Glad you got a good deal however these posts rarely ever include enough information to provide ANY suggestions.

If folks want halfway decent business startup consulting then they need to provide a bunch more info. For instance basics like size of community, demographics, what part of town, zoning, community growth history and projections, your skills, abilities, experience, bankroll, what was the building, glass front, parking etc etc etc.

Here's an example why. Growing weed is a multi-million dollar business in our area. Many grows are under 5k sq ft. Is it legal there?

The best suggestion so far, cause there is no other info, is rent it out

I mean a dollar store with Pennies taped to them sound like a natural fit.

What kind of building? Industrial? Retail? Office? Redev potential?

Depending on these answers and where it's located would be important to consider before deciding to run your own business, lease it or sell it.

[–] Ok-Breakfast1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Gym but i agree with other people is rent it out

[–] volunteervancouver@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Cannabis - go with a reputable grower who has their own strains. Initial Seeds and cuttings will be free.

Lots of growers who can do so legally will jump at the chance to set this all up on their own and still give a percentage.

How did you acquire the land?

[–] omgitsalobster82@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Indoor climate control pickle ball. Just roll up the dock doors and paint lines on the floor. Done.

[–] m98789@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Simpson’s already did it.

Just make sure to have a competent night watchman.

Lease it out.

Otherwise, you could throw a bunch of inflatable bouncers in there and run that kind of business. Birthday parties all weekend for 90 minutes at a time.

TRUCK STOP.

Cold storage. I always wanted a meat locker large enough to hang entire carcasses of meat stock. Source choice quality meat, butcher, age and distribute.

Furniture showroom

[–] Vast_Gap_3081@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You should start by hiring a great team and relocate them to make whatever business it turns out to be to earn a substantial revenue and profit first year.

FYI, I’m the great team.

Also, maybe hire like one other person besides me

[–] Rub-it@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

How did you acquire it

[–] Kenthanson@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Does it have a fenced in yard? Storage facilities are free money once you get it fenced in.

[–] Apprehensive_Cow5139@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Rent it out

Make a brothel for dogs

[–] Twice_Knightley@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Depends on where you are! In some places in Canada you could store tires for winter/summer change over.

if the population is there, you could get equipment and run a Maker Space, and collect a monthly membership.

Or as other have said, just rent it out to others!
