As a team, [the] Minnesota [Timberwolves] organization, we want to win a championship. After that, we'll figure that out," Edwards said

He's definitely gonna do it like 15 years from now and look absolutely terrible

If the Vikings are willing to invite Brock Lesnar to training camp or whatever, Ant can at least crack the practice squad

Everyone talking about an playing a skill position and i wanna see him bulk and rush the damn passer

I’ve always thought he was built like a linebacker but I forget how tall these dudes are. I wonder who the tallest decent NFL player is

Playing in the NFL gets less money, on average a shorter career, and a much much higher chance of permanent injury. I can see why that would be an attractive option to a top basketball player. /s

Ant as a WR on fly patterns would be money 💴

They being said - he’s never 👎 playing football 🏈. Ever

His attorneys will block. Full stop

Football is a shit sport. Worse pay than the NBA and the hits will break down your body. Running backs barely last 5 years, maybe 1-3 year peak.

[–] HackWaters@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

If he wins a ring, the NBA would try their hardest to convince him not to. Not even for a year.

Wouldn't CTE though be really detrimental to the subtleties of movement and mental-processing that basketball requires?

Not to sound snobbish, but unless you're a QB, most of the roles in the NFL don't require the touch and other small things that the NBA does, and most of these things are on a subconscious level once you learn them. Wouldn't repeated brain damage hurt his basketball ability?

Just like how Kyler Murray’s going to play baseball at some point

[–] gokhaninler@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

He wouldn't last two seconds in the NFL

[–] edgykitty@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Bud Grant won a chip in Minnesota for the Lakers then went to play football (and then coach football)

You mean, the first one without CTE?

[–] PeekyAstrounaut@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Why is everyone responding as if this is actually going to happen? It’s a fun thing for him to say.

Kinda feel it discredits a lot of nfl guys when someone thinks they can just cross sports. Bo jackson was a fucken phenom and I can’t honestly see someone replicating that again.

[–] timtodd34@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Guys it's Anthony Edwards, everything he says in interviews is a semi joke or a joke

[–] Sniffy4@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

stupid to risk a long nba career for a short lower-paying injury-prone nfl one

[–] mares8@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Edwards going to NFL i see lol

[–] Ziobot@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Why people blasting him for giving up money for what he like?

[–] Stamone@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Does anyone want to bet me? I’ll give you twenty to one odds, he never puts on pads for an nfl team.
