Playing in the NFL gets less money, on average a shorter career, and a much much higher chance of permanent injury. I can see why that would be an attractive option to a top basketball player. /s

I was recently reading about Brian Shul. He spent 20 years in the USAF as an active pilot and retired with over 5000 hours flight hours. Now consider there is probably some kid in your neighborhood who has logged over 5000 hours in COD or Apex before they're old enough to drive. It makes you wonder (well, it makes me wonder) how much some skills are limited by access to training.

Agent Zero, Gilbert Arenas, was paid some $62 million by the Magic over three years to play zero minutes.

^This. Jokic clatters around like a newborn gazelle that's just learned to walk. Then he jumps off the wrong leg, trebuchets the ball at the bucket, and hits nothing but net.
