Invest in the stock market no, never, not interested - India is a growing economy yes but it’s corrupt as hell, unless you’re in the inner circle and know who’s giving a backhander to inflate their stock you’d likely just lose all your money
I’d be open to starting a business there however but the government has closed off foreigners starting businesses there, I mean it costs insane amounts to even import goods into India which is good it protects the home grown market I guess - if you’re looking to start a business and you’re Indian it could be worth looking to starting a company formation/advisory service to help foreigners get into the Indian market otherwise I think just navigating the paperwork there is not worth it
