Welcome to a Star Trek community where you’re free to chat and share your opinions about all things Trek!

I want to have a place where fans can come to praise, discuss, and even criticise things in the Star Trek franchise. No show or movie is perfect, and I don't believe people should be silenced for having a dissenting opinion. That being said, there are still a few rules.

Be Nice - No personal attacks. You can disagree with someone's opinion, but it needs to stop there.

No Slurs - This is applicable to ethnicity, religion, gender, or anything else.

No Adult Content - Keep it family friendly.

No Spamming or Trolling - Consistently spamming comments or trolling is just not needed.

Keep Topics Trek Related - This is a Star Trek community, so of course discussion should stay in that area! That means no real world politics.

TOS - Dagger of the Mind

Lack of basic security measures (maybe have a roll call before a ship departs your prison planet's orbit) leads to an impressively manic performance by Morgan Woodward.

HCotW (hot chick of the week): Marianna Hill as a psychiatrist with a specialization in Kirk's favourite, penology.

Apparently, Kirk's memory of who's on his crew is not as good as his memory of who he hooked up with at last year's Christmas party.

This episode was always very memorable to me due to his acting performance! The overall concept of the episode definitely wouldn't be out of place on The Twilight Zone or similar.

This week we watched SNW 3x05 - Through the Lens of Time, and then I watched a few more Voyager episodes. I forget whether it was this week or last, but Message in a Bottle was pretty good.

After learning of Dr. Mbenga's plot armor, we checked out TOS S2E19 A Private Little War. This was my wife's first introduction to TOS Klingons. The episode was generally under whelming, although it did make me wonder if the Lothar of the Hill People on SNL was from this episode.

We also kept current with SNW, watching S3E5.

More VOY was watched. We finished S3E9 Future's End II, E10 Warlord, holy crow can Jennifer Lien act when she wants! E11 The Q and the Grey, ugh boring Q episode. And E12 Macrocosm. We started E13 Fair Trade, but had to watch in parts because my wife cannot stand Neelix and it was too much for her.

Yeah, I didn't think to mention that it wasn't really one of the classics!

Kes was great when they had a good script for her! I was honestly disappointed when they replaced her with Seven, but at least they had some good stories with her later on.

I'm not a big Neelix fan either! His episodes usually end up being the ones I get bored or annoyed with unfortunately, and the character just doesn't work for me for some reason.

I think neelix is a lot better after Kes leaves the show.
