Try the “AI PDF” plugin to GPT-4. It can also digest 400+ pages pdfs and I found it quite good. Tricky are (always) non-trivial tables and especially graphics inside the pdf; would need conversion/extraction and separate treatment. I am also curious to read what others recommend.

GPT-4 is paid service i can't afford it I am a student.
I see. Maybe others can help. If not and you cannot wait a couple of months when such will likely be free, you could recover the 20 US$ monthly license cost by selling you service to e.g. other students. Just thinking aloud.
Look at Assistants in Open AI Playground, where you can upload pdfs and try different OpenAI models to engage asking about your pdf. I found GPT-4 Turbo calle also Preview to be the mos powerfull and accurte Model. Try it out!
