Player attractiveness. So italian lol
NBA - Main
Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
Orlando Magic. Paulo Banchero is Italian, still at the beginning of his career, and the Magic are on the rise.
Or, Dallas Mavericks. Luka Doncic is from your neighbor Slovenia, and he’s a top 3 player and probably the most exciting player in the league to watch.
Or, San Antonio Spurs. Victor Wmbanyama is from your neighbor on the other side, France. He’s the most hyped rookie in decades, but the Spurs still suck. So maybe not them.
Knicks… best/craziest fan base by far!
From Point A to Point B?
Timberwolves
I forgot to mention Matteo Spagnolo
The pacers, magic, and thunder are 3 teams that fit the bill pretty well for you. Bright futures for all of them and all have different styles.
I’m a big pacers fan and this team is WILD. The best offense I’ve ever seen but the defense is a piece of work. The offense has a ton of great shooting and open layups.
The magic are basically the opposite of the pacers: great defense with a work in progress offense. Paolo Banchero (the best player) has Italian heritage.
The thunder might be seriously good now! A ton of young talent like the other two but a little more established.
I’m always trying to grow the pacers fan base but any of those 3 teams will fit your parameters well!
Celtics.
Who cares.
route?
the one that will assign you an English teacher.
Id suggest a team like the Jazz.
They play on ROOT sports.
Hornets
Something you can try is taking your two most traveled destinations and choosing a team which is the least out of your way when traveling between those two places. However, you should also consider other factors as well, such as the quality of the roads, usual traffic, available rest stops etc.
That's typically how I route for an NBA team.
My advice would be to choose a team that you like the aesthetic of. If you’re in it for the long haul then you’ll likely be buying merchandise, jerseys etc. The nature of the NBA means teams won’t be good/bad forever - it is cyclical. So don’t choose a team to support just because they seem like a good/winning team right now. Even poorly run teams like the Washington Wizards eventually see new GMs, new decision makers, and things change over time. I’m a 22yo New Zealander and I have been a die-hard Celtic fan since 2012. Paul Pierce is my all time favourite player. The Celtics are a well run franchise and are extremely competitive now, but if i am being honest, the last few years have just been stressful more than anything. The weight of expectation leads to disappointment. My favourite season was the 15-16 season. Watching Avery Bradley and IT and that year’s team was probably my favourite year of fandom. Sometimes winning isn’t everything. Anyway, welcome to being an NBA fan, hope you enjoy it!
Root
magic fs. they’ve been a big surprise this year and their young star Paolo Banchero is Italian!
My advice is don't choose a team based on certain criteria. Just watch games for a while, of many teams, you will eventually find players you like and a team that you're drawn to. It will naturally come, no need to force it
wait for expansion teams
There is only one logical choice.
The Lakers. No other team will offer such an emotional rollercoaster
Also 17 championships, and unlike the fucking celtics we don't owe 11 to the same player
The pacers
Detroit Pistons
knicks cuz jericho sims
The Houston Rockets babbbbbbby. Hop on the wagon before we take off!!!!
Root for a star, not a team
Spurs as they have a track record of being a good team with a winning culture and are set to do the same in the future.
