Refs are out of control
NBA - Main
Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
These absolutely should not be techs in 2023.
these fuckin techs are so irritating
this rim tech is bs you want him to fall on his ass or what
Tryna take attention away from Scott Foster, nice.
They did that to Bam in the first game of the season I think. Bam was just waiting for backswing to jump off with momentum and they T'd him
Awful.
Bro, absolutely fuck these refs into the earth.
foul
no, two fouls
5 game suspension coming
Knees
That was such a nice call by the ref omg 🤤🤤🤤
It's not for hanging it's for doing a pull up. And it's one of the most cut and dry techs you can get. Anyone arguing this, including Jason, is an idiot.
Dear Adam Silver. We want FUN, if you want us to watch your games and like your product please stop this nonsense. This is literally the opposite of fun.
Yours, r/nba
I hate referees so much.
Embarrassing. Refs have been worse than usual this season.
I was expecting some sort of over hanging, but this is just natural motion… he could’ve hanged even longer to not risk injuring himself. Refs are dumb.
Is the floor lit from underneath?
Eliminate this dumb rule. Let the damn athlete showboat a little and it’s for damn safety 95% of the time.
He didn’t need to grab the rim there. Tatum’s forward momentum is disrupted because he grasps the rim. This is of his own doing. Paulo was behind him.
That's bullshit
Did he need all that hanging? No. Was it tech worthy? Na
Lively got hurt trying to avoid this tech fuck the nba
I don't really watch basketball but I have a small urge to check it out every now and then. The reffing is the #1 thing that stops me from doing that.
Fucking stupid
Guys, I grew up watching this game. The ogs had respect for it and it’s wildly disrespectful to not break your neck and die in front of 70,000 fans after a dunk like that. Please learn the history of the game before commenting
NBA getting worse man
Hanging on the rim techs I’ve seen so far this season:
Hayes ✅
Sexton ✅
Tatum ✅
No. You must let go of the rim and land directly on your spine.
I’ve guys hang on the rim, slap the backboard then swing off and no tech.
Guess the refs didn’t learn about physics. What do they expect him to do? Just stop his momentum and fall on command?
I've seen lebron hanging onto the rim and shaking it with no T
I want this man shot Mr. Referee - did you see the slight pull up he did at the end? It’s outrageous!
Can’t do a pullup unless you’re lebron
He should have 0 techs so far this season
This has happened on multiple occasions now and it's ridiculous.
i’m so over the nba refereeing
The refs are crazy.
The refs are crazy.
They need to just eliminate this entirely. Hang all you want, but if you break a rim or backboard it’s 2FT + ball for the other team, and a $250k fine for you. Then let players do their own risk/benefit analysis.
Hanging in the rim for safety will almost never break the rim or board (with the new rims, it’s the rapid snap back that will break the boards)
I’m glad he didn’t hurt PB… was that the alternative?
They’ve gotten Gobert for this twice this year, it’s a joke
Stop blaming the refs. It’s a point of emphasis by the LEAGUE. He chose to swing on the rim vs a quick drop; once he swung back he didn’t have to do the pull up afterwards. He was in no danger. The ref needed to call that and he needs to stop bitching 😭
The Wolves have had quite a few of these this year, apparently its a point of emphasis for refs.
Dumb af.
He should've done some actual pullups to deserve that
